Hi, I’m Riley!

thanks for taking the time to get to know me

A woman with dark hair, wearing a black sheer top and black pants, sits on a wooden chair in a room with a glass-top dining table, framing a vintage camera with an open window nearby. She is holding a vintage camera up to her eye, looking through it, with a large clay pot and another vintage camera on the table behind her.

The Why Behind My Storytelling…

I grew up on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, where I first fell in love with capturing the beauty around me. What started as an art class in high school eventually led me to study design in college and spend long hours in the darkroom learning how to develop and scan real film. Somewhere along the way, photography and filmmaking quietly became a lifelong love.

These days I’m based in Los Angeles. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me wandering through a farmers market, at the dog park with my dog Sol, or deep in an eBay search for vintage film cameras and vintage clothes. I also love a cozy wine bar, a slow canyon walk with coffee in hand, or a quiet night in my hillside apartment with my boyfriend and Sol.

"There's a beauty in the blur — it reminds us that moments aren't meant to be perfect, just real."

in a nutshell

  • I grew up on the Big Island of Hawai‘i.

  • I’m also a graphic designer (Another creative outlet I love!)

  • I’m a proud dog mom to my rescue pup, Sol.

  • My happy place is traveling, being near the ocean, and spending time with my little family — dog and boyfriend.

  • I spend many quiet hours in my little apartment in the hills editing client galleries.

  • I love a good flea market, estate sale, or Facebook Marketplace find… anything with character.

Riley is the photographer for you if you’re looking to capture your special candid moments. I’d book her a million times over if I could!
